הסתיו הישראלי שונה מאד מהסתיו האירופאי או אמריקאי אליו מכוונים מעצבי האופנה הנותנים את הטון בשוק הטרנדים המערבי .לכן, לפי אפרתי עיצוב האופנה הישראלי דורש הבנה עמוקה שיוצרת סגנון שמתחשב באקלים המקומי, השונה מארצות המערב. אפרתי קוראת להפסיק לסגוד למוצרים שעשויים בארצות המערב ואינם מתאימים לחיים המקומיים בישראל. היא מציעה להתגבר על התכתיבים הלא רלוונטיים, להביט אל המזרח התיכון, ולהתאים את העיצוב לעולם הדימויים ולאורח החיים המקומי.

The Israeli autumn is very differnent from the European or American autumn that western designers usually have in mind when they set the tone for global fashion trends. Therefore, Efrati suggests that fashion design in Israel requires a deep understanding to create a style that matches the local weather. She calls to stop worshipping western-made products which are not suitable for the local life in Israel. She suggests to overcome the irrelevant fashion diktats, to look at the Middle East and adapt the design to the local imagery and lifestyle.
Here at the shores of the Mediterranean we were blessed with a special autumn. The Israeli autumn is a long transitional season, characterised by mild temperatures. The light is still bright but the sun is more clement. The weather resembles the European summer, and allows finally to wear a jacket or throw a cardigan on the shoulders.
The Israeli weather is the perfect opportunity to wear layers, and to mix various fabrics and textures in an original and individual manner. Heavy linen, complicated weaving patters like fishbone, thin drill cotton, light cashmere, and elegant silk satin create a sophisticated and easy-going look.
